My Life According to BSB

Using only song names from ONE ARTIST, cleverly answer these questions. You can't use the band I used. Try not to repeat a song title. It's a lot harder than you think! Re-post as "my life according to (band name)"

Pick your Artist:
Backstreet Boys

Are you a male or female:
Beautiful Woman

Describe yourself:
Shining Star

How do you feel:
Inconsolable ...I want my husband.  Right now we're stationed six hours away from each other...I have to wait another eight months before there's a chance that we can be stationed together.  I know that it is the life we chose...but sometimes it is tough.  I love our little weekend visits (when we can manage, usually twice a month-ish), but saying goodbye is always the hardest. "Every time you leave, I'm inconsolable."

Describe where you currently live:
Gotta Go
...see above...also, I'm stationed in the Mojave Desert right now...sometimes it isn't so bad, but I just finished saying bye so I'm less than happy right now...

If you could go anywhere, where would you go?
I Wanna Be With You

Your favorite form of transportation:
Roll With It

Your best friend is:
Cinderella

You and your best friends are:
Forces of Nature

What's the weather like:
Downpour
...A lie...I live in the desert...there is no rain here...

Favorite time of day:
Everytime I Close My Eyes

If your life was a TV show, what would it be called:
We've Got It Goin' On

What is life to you:
Time
"Look where we are and what we've been through"

Your relationship:
No One Else Comes Close

Your fear:
Show Me the Meaning of Being Lonely

What is the best advice you have to give:
What Makes You Different Makes You Beautiful

Thought for the Day:
Where Can We Go From Here

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!

The most wonderful time of the year.

I just want everyone on my flist know that I love you all bunches.  You guys are awesome and the bestest peeps EVAR!

Ok, now I'm done spreading the love.  Here's the loot that I got from Christmas!

1 gig mp3 player
3 pairs of Jammies
2 sets of houseslippers
a dress
a rice cooker
two shirts and a pair of jeans
a camel back
a pillow
a 40gal fish tank (I love aqariums)
A fiberoptic light
a picture frame
a bracelet
three bath sets (is someone trying to tell me something?)
A set of dishes (I also love china!)
Another set of dishes!
2 coffee sets

Wow...pretty good considering all I really wanted was a pair of house slippers and some Jammies!  Yay.  Plus our family has a ballin' Christmas.  Every year we do something fun and funny.  We  always have the most hideous looking tree that's filled with every decoration imaginable.  There's tinsel and lights and ornaments EVERYWHERE!  Every now and then you might see a branch poking out, but don't count on it.  And the tree falls over all the time...It fell on me twice when I was getting the presents out from under it!

Well, we really don't have that much money, so we get a little...GHETTO with Christmas.  Its so fun!  We each take turns going around the house and secreting stuff away and wrapping it, so that when we open the presents we're greeted with items that we would have forgotten if one sibling or another hadn't dug it out and wrapped it!  I handed my sister a picture from the wall.  It was funny because I pulled it off of the wall when her back was turned and just held the poor unwrapped thing behind my back.  I presented it to her with a flourish and she looked duly unimpressed.  Even though it was  Jesus picture...

We also make up stories to go with the presents.  For example, my mom loves dishes too.  When my family went to go get my brother from training we stopped by the PX.  Lo and behold my sister and I found a lovely $30 soup tureen.  It was on sale for $3 because it was missing the ladle.  So the three of us divised a plan.  My sister and I purchased the item while my brother led my mom around the PX.  We had to be ultimately sneaky because my mom is so nosy it isn't even funny.  She's so hard to surprize.  Anyway, when she opened the present on Christmas she was so excited and happy...and then she started looking for the missing ladle.

I stopped her and said: "Mom...(in a really ghetto voice) what had happened was..." and proceeded to tell her about our hijinks getting her the gift.  Everytime someone opened a present that they already owned (like my brother's cologne) we made up stories for it beginning with "What had happened was..."  It was hilarious to hear my mom trying to sound all ghetto and black in her asian accent!

Best Christmas ever!

And...the phrases for Christmas this year were..."what had happend was..." and "Touka koukan" because one of my uncles loves to give me and my sister one pair of socks each...from the same package.  There are four other pairs of socks from that same package floating around somewhere...Ay Nako!

Comment and I'll give you a letter; then you have to list 10 things you love that begin with that letter. After, post this in your journal, and give out some letters of your own.

Well...I got the letter D...

Some of my favorite poems...

The rose is a rose,
And was always a rose.
But the theory now goes
That the apple's a rose
And the pear is, and so's
The plum, I suppose.
The dear only know
What will next prove a rose.
You, of course, are a rose--
But were always a rose.
~Robert Frost

Batter my heart, three-personed God, for you
As yet but knock, breathe, shine, and seek to mend;
That I may rise, and stand, o'erthrow me, and bend
Your force to break, blow, burn, and make me new.
I, like an usurped town, to another due,
Labour to admit you, but Oh, to no end.
Reason, your viceroy in me, me should defend,
But is captived, and proves weak or untrue.
Yet dearly I love you, and would be loved fain,
But am betrothed unto your enemy:
Divorce me, untie or break that knot again,
Take me to you, imprison me, for I,
Except you enthrall me, never shall be free,
Nor ever chaste, except you ravish me.
~John Donne

Give me a fandom (or a few) you know I know of and I'll tell you exactly what I think of:

1. The character I first fell in love with.
2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now.
3. The character everyone else loves that I don't.
4. The character I love that everyone else hates.
5. The character I used to love but don't any longer.
6. The character I would shag anytime.
7. The character I'd want to be like.
8. The character I'd slap.
9. A pairing that I love.
10. A pairing that I despise.

I totally genked this from seshi...

I was just inspired by the post for Maxwell 1. Recently Ellwsorth 1 finished up Field Training as well. So, here's a shout out for everyone from E1. We laughed, we "locked-it-up", and we almost got blown away by the wind...but we made it! Great job everyone! We're on our way to the POC!

Hmmm...I had a biiiig long post that was all introspective and junk. But el-jay ate it...and this ^^^ was the autosaved draft that I ended up with. (-_-). Just for the record...I'm still alive. (^_^).

Finally...an update

Wow! Today rocked hard. It was so awesome that I actually had to stop being lazy and update this lj. (^_^). Today I went white water rafting with part of my nULL class. It was so much fun. You know, I think that this sort of thing might turn me into an adrenaline junkie.

So. I definently don't know how to swim. At all. But I still went and had a great time! The rapids were so awesome, and our guide was really fun. There were times that the waves were so high that when we were in the middle of them our paddles couldn't touch water. What a feeling!

There was a roughly 40 ft. high rock that we could jump off of into the water. So naturally I tried it. I was pretty scared at first (because I wasn't totally convinced that my life jacket would really keep me from drowning if I just jumped in). But I did jump, and it was such a blast! The only part that sucked was when I had to "swim" back to my raft. I was just basically flailing around in the water (I wasn't even moving). I eventually made it back to my boat, but my sister nULLs are still cracking me on my "swimming" skills.

Speaking of swimming, there was one section where we could ride the currant down. I decided to try it. As soon as I got in the water I started hyperventalating and I kept on swallowing water. (Before this I never realized how really scared I am of water...and drowning) I ended up going in the direction of this huge group of rocks (that our tour guide had warned us against), but I got saved by Rosales. She ended up holding my hand and talking me through the rest of the ride down. It's great to know that I've got such awesome friends.

Did I mention that I almost lost my shoe during that time? Well, I did (even though it was double knotted and tied tightly). So while I was trying to put my shoe back on (I was sitting on the edge of the raft with my feet hanging off), Carrol swam up to the boat and grinned at me. Then she yanked me into the river (!_!). It was so shocking! LOL, but it was so funny afterwards, and she had a hold of me the whole time.

We ended up getting back way later than we though we would (we were supposed to be back around 5 or 6, but it ended up being more like 8 or 9), so I missed having a nice Japanese dinner with some of my other friends. But aside from that, today has be absolutely awesome!

Hey look guys! It's an update (^_^).

So yesterday was a bunch of fun. I finally got to step into McClung for the first time in forever! (^_^). It was great! Me, Usagi, Lynn, and Tina all watched movies and hung out...

Then we had a pen war.

and then I had the ultimate meal!!! It was a grilled cheese sandwich, w/ pepperoni! Usagi makes it! It tastes soooo good! (^_^).

And today the weather is so nice! So me, Rosales, Nesmith, and Wong are gonna jog to the park and back...(and play in the playground (^_~). Its gonna be great!

Thesis

And my headphones are crooning in my ear.
And sometimes the volume is more than I can bear.
Words I can’t understand,
But they’re pulling me through the clicking of the keyboard.
Just trying to get through all of this and find the right words.

When I write it out, my pen is my heart.
But typing it out, I don’t know where to start.
There’s a cadence in my fingertips,
But that’s nothing compared to and envelope
Touched by my lips, sealed with a kiss.

“It’s seven o’clock on the dot…” but it’s really four past ten.
Trite and true…it’s more than I could handle with you.
So I’m sitting here. In sweats with my hair all messy.
I’m wearing glasses I don’t (really) need, and the frizziness means its clean.
This night feels later than it is, my eyes are getting watery and blurry.

I keep on thinking that my eyes are closing, but if you looked at me
You’d see someone fuzzy around the edges.

I’d say procrastination, but its not true.
What arena am I in? Have I written poetry, or
Is it just my way of stopping my brain from breaking.
She just hit that high note, but it didn’t hurt (my ears)
As much as I thought it would. I’ll let these words of mine
Clatter out to you.

I keep on writing out these lines.
They’re lame, but they’re alive.

I think that I can break up some of this and make something else, or a song.

Usagi...I totally genked these from you...

Your Eyes Should Be Brown

Your eyes reflect: Depth and wisdom

What's hidden behind your eyes: A tender heart

Ummm...Dude. I do have brown eyes...(^_~)

You Are a Schoolgirl!

You're not quite as wild as a "kogyaru", but with your short plaid skirt
and silly white socks, you're still a sexual fetish object.
You can usually be seen hanging out in the girly section of the video game places,
collecting photobooth stickers of you and your friends. You may not be as innocent as you look.
Did those vending machine panties once belong to you?

Uh....ok.

You Are Chinese Food

Exotic yet ordinary.
People think they've had enough of you, but they're back for more in an hour.

Your Hair Should Be Red

Passionate, fiery, and sassy.
You're a total smart aleck who's got the biggest personality around.

YELLOW
Yellows are motivated by fun. They are inviting and

embrace life as a party which they're

hosting. They love playful interaction and

can be extremely sociable and persuasive.

They seek instant gratification. YELLOWS need

to be adored and praised. While YELLOWS are

carefree, they are quite sensitive and highly

alert to others motives to control them.

YELLOWS carry within themselves the gift of a

good heart.

YELLOWS need to look good socially, and friendships

command a high priority in their lives.

YELLOWS are happy, highly verbal, easily

bored, and crave adventure. They can never

sit still for long. They choose friends who,

like themselves, refuse to allow lifes boring

details stifle their curiosity. They embrace

each day in the present tense. YELLOWS are

charismatic, spontaneous, positive, and can

be irresponsible, obnoxious, and forgetful.

When you deal with a YELLOW praise and adore

them, take a positive, upbeat approach, and

promote creative and fun activities for and

with them.
